Comments

When visitors leave comments, we collect the information you enter in the comment form, along with your IP address and browser user agent, to help us prevent spam.

An anonymized string (a hash) created from your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service to see if you use it. Their privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/.
After your comment is approved, your profile image (if available) may appear next to your comment.

Feedback & Testimonials

If you send feedback or testimonials via email or other communication channels:

  • We may use your words for marketing or promotional purposes.
  • We will only use your first name and last initial unless you clearly give permission for your full name.
  • We never share your email or contact information publicly.
  • You may request removal of your testimonial at any time.

Media

We respect intellectual property and user privacy.

  • User-uploaded media: Currently, we do not allow users to upload media files.
  • Our product images: All Sunflower Oracle product images and other visuals are the property of the Balanced Mind Project and Sunflower Institute for Therapy & Life Coaching. They may not be used without explicit permission.
  • Website visuals: All media on this site is either owned, licensed, or used with permission.
  • Third-party tracking: We do not use social media plugins or embedded third-party media that could track user data.
  • Metadata: Any identifying metadata is removed from images before publishing.

Cookies

Cookies help the site function smoothly.

  • If you leave a comment, you may choose to save your name, email, and website in cookies so you don’t have to re-enter them. These last one year.
  • A temporary cookie checks your browser’s cookie settings when you visit the login page. It’s deleted when you close your browser.
  • When logging in, cookies store your login details and display preferences:
    • Login cookies: 2 days
    • Display options: 1 year
    • “Remember Me”: 2 weeks
  • Editing or publishing a post creates a temporary cookie that contains only the post ID. It expires in one day.

Embedded Content

Some websites track users through embedded media.
Balanced Mind Project does not embed external content (videos, images, etc.) that would allow third-party tracking.

We may occasionally link to outside websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their policies.

We do not sell or trade personal information.

We only share your data in these rare circumstances:

How Long We Keep Your Data

  • Comments and their metadata are stored indefinitely to help us recognize and approve future comments automatically.
  • If users register on the site (if enabled), their profile information is stored until they edit or delete it. Administrators can also view and update this information.
