Living the Dream

List three jobs you’d consider pursuing if money didn’t matter.

Let’s be honest, if money didn’t dictate our choices, many of us would be living out our wildest dreams, pursuing passions that have nothing to do with paying bills. Forget the 9-to-5 grind, I’m talking about careers that spark joy and fulfillment, without the stress of making ends meet. If I could toss financial concerns aside, here are three jobs I’d dive into headfirst, purely for the love of it.

1. Free Mental Health Therapist for Women with Fertility Challenges

Picture this: no insurance claims, no paperwork, just me and a cozy office filled with tissues, comfy chairs, and women who need a safe space to vent. Fertility challenges come with their own emotional baggage, and I’d love to help unpack it, free of charge. Honestly, the amount of emotional weight women carry during this time could fill an entire therapy couch and then some! I’d be the go-to therapist for those deep, raw, uncomfortable conversations.

I’d also get to introduce fun, therapeutic activities. Journaling, yoga, maybe even “Throw Things at the Wall” Thursdays. Imagine the stress relief! The only catch? I might need my own therapist after a week of sessions, but hey, that’s a small price to pay.

2. Around the World Food Blogger

If there’s one thing I love more than helping people heal their minds, it’s stuffing my face with amazing food. The idea of traveling the world, eating everything from Parisian croissants to spicy street tacos in Mexico, sounds like pure bliss. Being a food blogger is just a fancy way of saying “professional eater,” and I am here for it.

My food reviews would be a mix of genuine appreciation and childhood nostalgia. But the beauty of it? No one’s there to judge when I devour that third slice of pizza in Rome like it’s the last meal on Earth.

And let’s not forget the pictures! I’d probably spend more time figuring out how to take an artsy photo of noodles than actually eating them. But in the end, food is love, and this would be the kind of love affair I’d never want to end.

3. Stay-at-Home Wife

And now, the pièce de résistance: being a stay-at-home wife. That’s right! No kids, no day job, just me and my partner living a life of leisure.

In my mind, my days would involve reading self-help books, working out (occasionally), and trying to figure out if the dishwasher is finally broken or if I just never understood how it works. I’d also become an expert in the art of online shopping and find ways to justify why I absolutely need the same purse in three different colors; or the most expensive perfumes.

The best part? I’d finally have time to tackle all those hobbies I’m interested in. Gardening, knitting, pickleball ( yeah right), painting…

If money wasn’t an issue, I’d spend my life juggling between helping women through tough times, indulging in the world’s finest cuisines, and living a life of luxury in fuzzy slippers, expensive handbags, and smelling like a million dollars. Cause I am. It’s a weird combo, but dreaming is free!
