Faith in the Lord helps people survive

But unity helps people rise

City to city, block to block

There is peace, love, violence, and gunshots

Corruption runs deep

But knowledge and love can set us free

We all deserve respect

So, when approaching others you have to come correct

Don’t neglect your civil duties

Like helping people in need

Because you never know when you’ll be the one down on your luck

So, stop walking around like you don’t give a f*&k

Everyone knows life in the city is pretty mean

Hell on earth, sandwiched in between concrete

Bills, debt, hunger, and pain are the realest shit going on these days

But you have to take pride in yourself and your beliefs

And understand that life in the city can be a comical and wearisome craze

But a change is gonna come someday

We’re long overdue
